Life Calendar: See Your Life in Weeks
Every box below is one week. Enter your date of birth and this tool fills in every week you have already lived, so you can see your whole life on a single grid.
What a life calendar actually shows you
A life calendar swaps years for weeks. Instead of thinking "I am 32," you see roughly 1,670 filled boxes out of a planned 4,690, one box for every week you have been alive. Zoomed out to the week level, a life stops feeling abstract and starts feeling countable.
The idea is not to create anxiety about time running out. It is the opposite: seeing the full grid at once tends to make people more deliberate about how they spend the weeks still open on the calendar, the same way a visible countdown makes a deadline easier to plan around.
How the lifespan number works
The default is 90 years, a reasonable long-range planning estimate, but it is not a prediction and it is not based on your personal health data. Change the number in the form to whatever feels right to you and the grid, the percentage, and the weeks-remaining count all update instantly.
Reading the grid
Each row represents one full year, and each box in that row represents one week. Filled boxes are weeks you have already lived. Empty boxes are weeks still ahead, based on the lifespan you entered. Nothing is stored or sent anywhere. It is calculated in your browser and gone when you close the tab.
Frequently asked questions
What is a life calendar?
A life calendar is a grid that represents your whole life as individual weeks, one box per week, instead of years. Each box you have already lived through is filled in, and the rest of the grid shows the weeks you have left based on an average lifespan.
How many weeks are in an average life?
Based on a 90 year lifespan, that works out to roughly 4,690 weeks in total. This tool lets you change the lifespan number to see how the grid shifts.
Is this based on my real life expectancy?
No. It uses a simple, editable lifespan estimate you choose yourself, not medical or actuarial data. It is meant as a perspective tool, not a prediction.
Can I change the lifespan used in the calculation?
Yes. Adjust the lifespan field before calculating and the grid, percentage, and weeks remaining update to match.
